New Recruits
Peak Performers works exclusively with government agencies for temporary jobs. These jobs can last for as little as a few days, and as long as several years. Each year, about 1/3 of our temporary employees are hired “permanently” by our customers. We like it that way. And although we deliberately try to hire people who have a disability, we also hire people who do not.
Currently, we are working with nearly all State of Texas Agencies and a few Travis County agencies.
Now, as for our jobs? Well, we have over 840 job classifications that we fill for the State of Texas. Many are office clerical in nature, requiring regular standard office equipment use. We have almost no industrial type jobs such as warehousing, and we have never seen a job for assembly or other factory type work. So if you’re an experienced office worker with computer, phone, copier, mailing, or mailroom skills, we’d love to have you join our team.
Increasingly, we have many highly skilled jobs involving program and project management, administrative law, accounting, auditing, IT specialties and network specialties. These professional, technical and expert jobs are often long term assignments.
Nearly all of our jobs are full time, 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday and typically do not permit overtime. But there are occasional exceptions. And in all cases our jobs are a great way for you to “get your foot in the door” with state agencies. They never promise a “temp-to-hire” job, but often will extend an invitation to apply for “permanent” openings once our associates have proven their value. Of course, “permanent” is relative, and many of our people return in later years to find a new opportunity with another state agency.
Finally, we pay weekly, mostly by direct deposit, and we have medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance coverage available to all associates.
