Meet Cindy Ciftcioglu, who grew up in Binghamton, New York, where she developed a love for animals and the simple joys of her hometown, like riding its many carousels as a child. Years later, Cindy faced challenges that would test her resilience: a lifelong breast cancer diagnosis and gastroparesis, a condition that causes stomach paralysis. She speaks openly about her journey, the struggles she’s faced, and the strategies she’s found to cope.

Talent Without Limits - Lorena Rojas
Meet Lorena Rojas, whose journey began in Zacatecas, Mexico, and continued in Austin, Texas, after her widowed mother brought her and her sisters to the U.S. in search of a better life. After high school, Lorena spent more than a decade building laptops and desktops—hands-on work she took enjoyed. Then, tragedy struck. A car accident claimed the life of her 17-year-old son, and Lorena was left to battle a grief no parent should have to endure. Despite the overwhelming pain and lingering depression, she returned to work.

But just as he was stepping onto new stages, life threw him an unexpected challenge—a diagnosis of peripheral artery disease (PAD). The condition led to severe complications in his legs, exposing nerves and flesh, and requiring an innovative treatment using cod fish skin grafts to aid in his recovery.
